In ancient times, when the universe was newly formed, chaos reigned and the world was still in its infancy. However, an unexpected disaster struck, causing the sky's pillars to collapse and the earth to crack open. Floods raged, beasts ran rampant, and humanity faced annihilation.
It is said that Nüwa, a great goddess of the time, was deeply moved by the suffering of her people. Determined to save them, she set out to mend the heavens. She collected colorful stones and melted them into liquid lava-like material, using it to fill the gaps in the sky. After relentless effort, the sky was finally restored.
To prevent further collapse of the earth, Nüwa also cut off the four legs of a giant turtle, using them as new supports for the heavens and earth. Through her wisdom and strength, not only did she stabilize the cosmic order, but she also brought peace back to humanity.
